Rhonda is a Dialysis Nurse based in St. Louis, Missouri. In her daily work as a nurse, she’s gained firsthand knowledge of how poor nutrition contributes to chronic illness, suffering, and the growing strain on our healthcare system. “So many of the patients I care for are battling the long-term effects of limited access to healthy, nourishing food—especially fresh fruits and vegetables. These aren’t just individual health issues; they are systemic problems that impact families, neighborhoods, and the overall well-being of entire communities”. As someone who lives and works in North St. Louis County, she believes in advocating toward prioritizing fresh food access as a basic human right. “I’m proud to support the mission and work of Rustic Roots Sanctuary Co., because I believe deeply in the power of holistic health and its role in transforming lives and communities”. Her profession and personal beliefs show a commitment to supporting efforts that increase the availability of fresh, locally grown produce, and teaching the importance of educating our community about the link between nutrition and long-term health. Supporting Rustic Roots Sanctuary is an extension of her belief in preventative, community-rooted solutions. “I’m excited to see how their work continues to expand, and I look forward to the positive, measurable impact it will have on the health and resilience of our community”.
